My father built this hall in 1994, for a wedding he could not find a place for.

Since then we have hosted somewhere close to two thousand functions — most of them for families who live within a few streets of here. We are not a hotel. There is no banquet manager. There is my brother at the gate, my mother in the kitchen corridor, and a hall that gets swept, cooled and lit before your first guest arrives.
